Oh, I just can't wait to be king! ~ "Simba"

 Dear Warriors,

I pray that at some point today you found a moment to lay your concerns at the feet of our loving Father.

As you continue on your journey, I want to remind you that the ultimate goal of the warrior and lover is to become a King. 

A King is a man who has mastered the art of being a warrior and a lover, and now uses all of his resources and life experiences to create a heavenly kingdom for those under his rule.

Jesus serves as the ultimate example of a warrior and lover, as He fought for us on the cross and won our hearts. But now He is seated at the right hand of God, reigning as King.

Psalms 115:16 NIV

The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to mankind.

The key to becoming a King is to fully engage the present stage of warrior and lover, even enjoying the benefits of being under another King's rule. This allows us to gain the wisdom and experience necessary to rule as we should when our time comes.

Remember, the journey to becoming a King requires patience. But as you continue to fight for what you believe in and love with all your heart, you will reach that destination.

So keep pushing forward. Embrace your role as a warrior and lover, and trust in the journey. One day, you too will be seated on your throne, ruling with grace and wisdom.

Quick to Speak - Slow to Listen?

Are you quick to speak and slow to listen? I can be. Recently, I've been reflecting on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in Israel. I have my views—perhaps to be shared in another post—but amidst the deep polarization of the conflict, I've been exploring a need I feel to choose my side, for lack of better words. So, I've been reading extensively, trying to gather evidence about who is right and what is right. It's been exhausting because this conflict is complex. Why are university presidents getting fired? Why are students upset? Why are nations up in arms? What's the spiritual undertone? Who has the right to this land? Is the fighting just? Is just fighting a real thing? Why are so many innocents in harm's way? What is God thinking? What is the Plan? Many big questions. Selfishly, it is stimulating, which is where my personal problem lies. More stimulating academic research for the African American largely removed from the day-to-day unbearable nature of war. N

Dear Warriors, Today, I would like to discuss a simple yet powerful prayer that Jesus taught his disciples: "Give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11, NIV). While we often focus on planning and accomplishing long-term goals, it is essential to remember that we need God's provision every day. We cannot do it alone. This prayer recognizes our dependence on God for both our physical and spiritual sustenance. It reminds us that we need to trust in Him each day instead of relying solely on our strength and resources. In our daily lives, we encounter numerous decisions and challenges that require wisdom and discernment. Whether it is navigating relationships with family, friends, and coworkers, or balancing work and family responsibilities, we must seek God's guidance and provision.
