The Good Ole Days: Embracing Life's Moments

Dear Warriors, Life can be busy and overwhelming, but taking a step back to appreciate the present moment is essential. Earlier this week I was at home listening to my wife sing to my daughter. My daughter joined in, her pitch perfect I might add, and all my worries and stresses disappeared. I knew in that moment that I would always cherish it, and it made me realize that these are the good ole days. The Bible also emphasizes the importance of living in the now. Matthew 6:34 reminds us not to worry about tomorrow because it has its own troubles. Psalm 90:12 teaches us to number our days, so we gain wisdom and use our time well. And Psalm 118:24 says, "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." So my fellow warriors, take a deep breath, relax, and appreciate the present moment. By understanding that our days are numbered, we can appreciate them more. It's wise to live day to day and not constantly look ahead. Let us not be so focused on the futu

Trusting God for Our Daily Bread: A Simple but Profound Prayer

Dear Warriors, Today, I would like to discuss a simple yet powerful prayer that Jesus taught his disciples: "Give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11, NIV). While we often focus on planning and accomplishing long-term goals, it is essential to remember that we need God's provision every day. We cannot do it alone. This prayer recognizes our dependence on God for both our physical and spiritual sustenance. It reminds us that we need to trust in Him each day instead of relying solely on our strength and resources. In our daily lives, we encounter numerous decisions and challenges that require wisdom and discernment. Whether it is navigating relationships with family, friends, and coworkers, or balancing work and family responsibilities, we must seek God's guidance and provision. My particular vocation involves facing various daily challenges that I do not have answers to. Often, I find myself lacking the patience and wisdom needed to deal effectively with them. S

The Concept of Sandwich Discipline

Dear Warriors, I pray that you gave it your all today, its our daily calling. As leaders, at times we are tasked with guiding and correcting those under our supervision. We must hold ourselves accountable for their development, and this requires discipline. Discipline can be a difficult subject to broach, as it often carries a negative connotation. However, discipline is an important part of growth and success, both in the workplace and in life. Proverbs 3:11-12 NIV "My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in." It is important to remember that discipline comes from a place of love, and it is not meant to tear down or belittle. Rather, it is meant to provide guidance and help individuals grow. One effective way to approach discipline is through the concept of "sandwich discipline." This method involves "sandwiching" the criticism or correctio

Oh, I just can't wait to be king! ~ "Simba"

Dear Warriors, I pray that at some point today you found a moment to lay your concerns at the feet of our loving Father. As you continue on your journey, I want to remind you that the ultimate goal of the warrior and lover is to become a King.  A King is a man who has mastered the art of being a warrior and a lover, and now uses all of his resources and life experiences to create a heavenly kingdom for those under his rule. Jesus serves as the ultimate example of a warrior and lover, as He fought for us on the cross and won our hearts. But now He is seated at the right hand of God, reigning as King. Psalms 115:16 NIV The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to mankind. The key to becoming a King is to fully engage the present stage of warrior and lover, even enjoying the benefits of being under another King's rule. This allows us to gain the wisdom and experience necessary to rule as we should when our time comes. Remember, the journey to becoming a King

This blog is dedicated to encouraging and acknowledging warriors, lovers, and those caught in between. Isaiah 42:13 says, "The LORD will go forth like a warrior, He will stir up His zeal like a man of war; He will shout out, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail [mightily] against His enemies." At a certain point in a man's life, he begins to push ag
